Designed by architecture firm Onion, the Sala Ayutthaya Resort in Thailand is a one of a kind holiday retreat. The hotel is host to an impeccable array of quality materials, considered textures and a simplistic, naturally derived colour palette, which combined together, make for a harmonious and fresh oasis.
The collection of twenty-six boutique residence's are all individual in their design and offer a uniquely different experience to each of its guests. All are connected with paralleled brick walls, which curve and circulate throughout the premises. Carefully considered by the designers, this uniquely provides a level of privacy to each villa, whilst keeping a continual flow throughout. The textural red-bricks are a perfect juxtaposition to the buildings simple white walls and it is these elements that set the perfect backdrop for the stunning outdoor areas.
With various layers of terraces, courtyards, step decks and swimming pools all surrounded in crisp marble tiles, its easy to see why the outdoor spaces steal the show and become the focal point of this design. The overall attention to detail is evident throughout and set this resort miles apart, making for the most inviting and tranquil holiday setting you could imagine!
